A1's a bit trancey, but don't be put off by the 'T' word - it's from 1993, waaay before it became a by-word for lowest-common-denominator day-glo '16 bars of drum roll before I burst' kinda shit.

The rest wouldn't sound out of place on an early Hardfloor EP - lots of HARD acid with some flange (yee-hah!), whooshing noises, hissing hi-hat, squelchy noises, you know the drill...

What a fuckin 12" this is.

The A-side's a great spacey flanged pulse that sucks you right in and fucks you around for over 10 mins before spitting you out. We *heart* the flange. As for the B-side...

Mind that Transform - Transformation track that was knocking about on Rising High in the 'Secret Life Of Trance' era? It was OK, but here's Atom Heart's take on the same vocal sample, MUCH much better than the Transform tune. Man, I'd forgotten how much I love this till right now.

Pink Elln & Atom Heart - Elektronikkaa 1&2 / Electronique

A couple of insane-as-fuck live tracks here, recorded in 1992. When I first got this record I couldn't believe what I was hearing - I didn't think this kinda shit could be DONE live (this was 1993). It says "NO SAMPLES USED" on the run-out groove as well - always wished they would come and play Pure but it wasn't to be.

As far as I can see from Discogs, Pink Elln (whose name means 'pissing' in German, fact fans) released quite a lot of live stuff, but only this one when he was doing it with Atom Heart (who I've just learned is Señor Coconut!).

VFM on this one, as the full thing lasts upwards of 55 mins. Well worth giving up your time though (don't skip through it), this is one helluva 12" - very unusual...
