Just the thing for a strung-out Sunday comedown, and another thinly veiled drug reference from One Dove.
A1 sees Stephen Hague in 'gonnae get us on the Radio 1 playlist?' mode. He didn't quite manage it though, they bombed which was a shame.
'The Professionals' were the three members of One Dove alongside Sabres backroom boys Jagz & Gary, who provide a great strung out thudding bass-heavy mix.
If you head straight for the aptly named Guitar Paradise Mix as I initially did, you're in for a treat of epic proportions.
Three great mixes of a great single by great underachievers...

One Dove - Why Don't You Take Me (Underworld Up 2 Down Remix)
A couple of responses to earlier requests today, but I'm afraid no Bandulu or Robert Hood's Minimal Nation just yet. Be patient - my records are in no order at all and aren't stored in my flat due to space restrictions. Today's pair come courtesy of regular contributor to the comments, Tommy from 'down under'.
Here's what he says about this wee gem:
"a thunderous remix by Underworld of Glasgae's finest One Dove, as produced by Audrey Witherspoon. That's 3 legends for the price of 1 tune, fantastic value. Not sure if it ever had a full release."
I'm sure it got a limited release, but here you go, the modern day equivalent of getting a tape of it off yer mate...

One Dove - Breakdown (The Secret Knowledge Remixes)
One Dove never really lived up to the hype that came with them - their debut album was talked up to be "the next Screamadelica", but was more of a damp squib sales-wise. Shame, as they were a great band. There were always a few dodgy rumours going round about them as well, quite an aptly named band if the truth be told.
Good to see that Dot Allison's put her mad druggy days behind her - the last time I saw her was onstage with Pete Doherty a few weeks ago. Oh...
