Well it's been a wee while since any Weatherall posts so here's a wee gem I'd actually forgotten about, a white-label promo 12" with two fucked up mixes of Neptune City, from the Contino Sessions album. Dunno if I've got a mis-press, but the sticker on the front says that the A-side is 5:23 and the B-side is 5:07. On mine the mixes are both essentially the same, only the A is 7:18 and the B is 6:55.
Oh well, whatever it is, it/they is/are darn good mix(es). Download the pair and see if I'm missing any huge difference between 'em.

weird. for some reason i always played these at 45 and never thought to switch. sounds very funky at 33! i must be an idiot.
Uh-oh. It looks like I've made a Peel-esque 33/45 error. Or have I? Sounds fine either way. Would explain the time differences though...
haha i did the same with the TLS mix of Paul Weller - Helliocentric. I always played it at 33. Then heard Weatherall play it at normal speed. Pretty awesome both ways I think.
I always play the Weatherall Weller remix at 33. A great remix. I'm gonna have to go and play it at 45 now. If anyone has an mp3 of it...
yer on the aisha cd these are much faster.
Fraid I can't help you with that one, chief. Try Acid Ted.
Hi Moggieboy, I'm a bit late on this one, only discovered your blog a few weeks ago. Any change of re-uploading this? The link on ZShare just seems to loop between 2 pages without ever starting the download.
Hi David - get the 'Vol 2' torrent from over on the left hand side and select the DIV one in your client - I dunno where my original is any more - it's on another hard drive somwhere...
Will do then, I have since found I've got the Concrete Funk 2 mix on a DIV comp CD (great track), from what you said in your description there's not much difference between the mixes.
